       报告摘要：The Beta-plane equation is an important model describing the dynamics of oceans and planetary atmospheres in geophysical fluid dynamics. In this talk, we will introduce some recent results on the dynamics of the Beat-plane equation near shear flows, especially Couette flow. The Coriolis force leads much richer dynamics.

       报告人简介：章志飞，北京大学数学科学学院副院长、博雅特聘教授、博士生导师，主要从事偏微分方程的理论研究，在流体力学方程的适定性、自由边值问题、液晶模型一致性的数学理论以及流动稳定性等方面取得了一系列重要的研究成果，已在CPAM、Memoirs of AMS、CMP、Adv Math、ARMA等学术期刊上发表论文100余篇。2011年入选中组部首批青年拔尖人才支持计划、2014年获国家杰出青年科学基金、中组部万人计划科技创新领军人才、2022年国际数学家大会(ICM 2022)45分钟特邀报告人。
