Title：A brief introduction to Hausdorff dimension

Abstract：The Hausdorff dimension is a fundamental concept in fractal geometry. It involves covering a set with small balls and can be used to determine whether a set is “large” or “small” in terms of measure. In this talk, we will give a brief introduction, starting with definitions of Hausdorff (outer) measures. Simple properties and various methods which could be used to estimate the dimension will be discussed.
