       To further improve the enrollment quality of international students and enhance the international influence of of School of Mathematics and Statistics, on December 26, 2022, Vice Dean Lin Du, Director of International Communications and Collaborations Manyu Xiao, and Secretary Zhuorong Li of the school, participated in a global live broadcast for international student enrollment organized by the International Education College. The meeting was chaired by Mrs. Wang Xinong from the International Education College. Nearly 40 international students from all over the world participated.

       At the meeting, Vice Dean Lin Du firstly gave a comprehensive introduction to the basic information of school, including the department and major settings, course offerings, faculty strength, research platform, international education, and talent cultivation, etc. Next, Director Manyu Xiao provided a detailed introduction to the 10 scientific research teams, their research directions and supervisor’s information.

       Finally, the students asked questions about the application process, scholarship settings, and supervisor selection. Director Manyu Xiao patiently answered the questions, encouraged and welcomed everyone to apply to the School of Mathematics and Statistics at NPU.

       This live broadcast realized direct and effective communication between our school and overseas students who intend to study in China, and received positive responses from the participating students. The School of Mathematics and Statistics will continue to optimize its international student enrollment strategy, continuously improve the school's international influence, and support the construction of a "Double First-Class" university.
